Minister to Pre-k & Children
Scarlyte joined our staff in June, 2017. She is originally from Tallahassee, FL. Scarlyte accepted Jesus as her personal Lord & Savior at the age of ten. She knew from an early age that she wanted her life to make an impact for Jesus and that He had given her a special love for children and families. She attended Florida State University and Grand Canyon University studying both Secondary Education and Christian Education. Scarlyte previously served on staff with Child Evangelism Fellowship in the are of youth and evangelism. She has also served on church staff in Preschool, Children and Family Ministry in Florida and Alabama for the past 27 years.
At Swartz, Scarlyte is responsible for overseeing our Preschool and Children's Ministry. She is passionate about sharing the love of Jesus with children, helping them know God's Word, as, empowering and equipping parents and leaders to impact the next generation. Scarlyte is married to Troy and together they have three daughters and two sons, ages 24-12. Bowden, their second son, passed away in 2008. Troy is a rebate coordinator with Berry Global and actively serves alongside Scarlyte in ministering to children and preteen boys. Scarlyte's life has brought her to many challenges and difficult life circumstances. However, her heart's desire is for every person to know Jesus is true love, He is faithful to walk beside us and He never wastes our suffering. There is no greater privlege than to live our life for Jesus!
